OUR STORY
OUR STORY
Kwanjai Thai was inspired by my late mother, whose name was also Kwanjai, the word being translated into English to mean "favourite". She was originally from the northeastern region of Thailand, where food was locally grown, fresh and abundant. Her dishes were simple, but always tasted wonderful. My mother's food was so revered, that when King Rama 9, Bhumibol Adulyadej, visited Mae Hong Sorn, the province where she lived, the Governor asked my mother to cook for him. This great honour will forever be remembered by our family.
Kwanjai Thai endeavours to prepare meals that are "fit for a King", just as my mother did, to delight our guests and honour her memory.
